The much-anticipated Sanya International Boat Show 2024 was held from 5 to 8 December at the Sanya International Yacht Centre. The show attracted 45 brands and 50 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, including France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Turkey, displaying 200 boats. With the theme of ‘Sailing in Sanya, Boating in the Free Trade Port’, the main venue was set up at Sanya International Yacht Centre, and the branch venue was set up at Sanya Hongzhou International Marina.
The exhibition especially integrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the elements of the Sino-French Culture and Tourism Year, and set up the national pavilion of France as the guest of honour, with 25 boats appearing for the first time, which became the focus of the new product release. The participation of nearly 30 renowned industry associations, including the World Yacht Federation (ICOMIA), the International Association of Large Yacht Brokers (LYBRA) and the Asia Pacific Superyacht Association (APSA), further enhanced the professionalism and internationalisation of the show.

Wang Qiyang, Secretary of Sanya Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, highlighting Sanya's remarkable achievements in the yachting industry in recent years. Currently, Sanya has more than 1,400 registered yachts, and the number of yachts and sailboats in Sanya is among the highest in the country. With innovative policies, Sanya has taken the lead in implementing the triple policy of ‘no guarantee for entry’, ‘zero-tariff yachts’ and ‘yachts to be imported within five years’, which creates a favourable external environment for the development of yacht industry. The 2024 Sanya International Boat Show will last until 8 December, during which a number of exciting events will be held on the show floor, including globally-synchronised debut shows, a wealth of scenarios, business matching and industry forums.
