Dutch shipyard Feadship has confirmed that the 49.5-metre superyacht Gray Cliffs has departed its construction shed and is now en route to sea trials in the North Sea, marking a major milestone ahead of her scheduled spring 2026 delivery.
Previously known as Project 717 during construction, the all-aluminium yacht remained largely confidential until her recent official unveiling. Sold in September to a long-standing Feadship owner, Gray Cliffs is understood to be the successor to a smaller 33.5-metre yacht of the same name delivered in 2016.
Exterior styling comes from Studio De Voogt, featuring a sharp vertical bow, elongated dark glazing and a low-profile silhouette. The widened shoulders along the sundeck create visual balance while enhancing usable deck space. A fold-down bulwark system expands the main deck aft, seamlessly connecting to a beach club complete with generous seating and a glass-fronted Jacuzzi.
Interiors, developed by American studio Marty Lowe in close collaboration with the owner, reveal a light, contemporary aesthetic with granite-inspired detailing and expansive glazing. Accommodation is arranged for 10 guests across five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck.
Technically, the 499GT yacht incorporates propulsion developed under the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive programme. Thruster-based propulsion and steering reduce drag while improving manoeuvrability, efficiency and onboard comfort. She is expected to reach a top speed of 15 knots and deliver a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
With sea trials now underway, Gray Cliffs moves one step closer to delivery, reinforcing Feadship’s reputation for refined engineering and custom craftsmanship in the 50-metre segment.
