The 101-meter Feadship Project 1013 has been officially launched and named 'Moonrise'. Built at the Dutch shipyard's facility in Makkum, she is currently undergoing further outfitting in preparation for sea trials and delivery to her owner.
Continuing the iconic design elements of her predecessor, “Moonrise” features exterior lines crafted by Studio De Voogt, a sleek “mighty vertical bow” and a classic gray and snow-white paint scheme. The interior, on the other hand, is by Rémi Tessier. However, it also incorporates a number of technical and design innovations that distinguish it from the 99.9-meter Moonrise.
One notable change is that for the first time, the Dutch shipyard has eliminated the dome with the VSAT and TVRO antennas and integrated the Starlink satellite receiver into the superstructure, which not only optimizes communication and streaming capabilities, but also gives the yacht a sleeker appearance. In addition, the new yacht features a unique mast design, a more spacious sundeck, a massage area, a gym and a hair salon, and expanded exterior decks and swim platforms. The private cinema on the east deck and bridge is a further addition to the yacht.
The shipyard paid particular attention to noise reduction during the construction process. Through the use of specially designed propellers and accessories, underwater noise and internal acoustics have been effectively reduced to provide a more pleasant experience for those on board. Its anchor winch foundation is known to be the first to be fully resiliently mounted and the chain wiring has been optimized to further reduce vibration and noise.
The yacht, which has always been very secretive, first came to the public's attention in October 2023 when she was launched at Feadship's Zwijnenburg facility, before heading to the Makkum site for outfitting work. Although the shipyard has revealed few details about the newly built superyacht during construction, early images have revealed her straight bow, glass upper deck, and reserved space for an oversized superyacht swimming pool on the aft deck. In addition, the lower deck features multiple shell doors, a suspected side-mounted tender garage in the middle of the boat and a second garage at the bow .
