55m Heesen Superyacht Project Frida Nears Completion

Dutch shipbuilder Heesen Yachts has confirmed that Project Frida, the latest unit in its successful 55-metre Steel series, has entered the final outfitting stages ahead of her scheduled February 2026 delivery. Launched this August from the yard’s facilities in Oss, the Netherlands, the yacht remains available for sale, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire a near-complete Northern European superyacht with reduced lead time.

Project Frida builds on the proven technical platform of her sistership Agnetha, incorporating performance insights and data gathered during rigorous sea trials. According to the yard, the 55m Steel class has once again demonstrated its reputation for reliability, efficiency and robust engineering—making this yacht an attractive “turn-key” solution for an owner seeking a seamless and stress-free entry into superyacht ownership.

Her exterior styling comes from Omega Architects, recognizable for the series’ signature “shark tooth” superstructure. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows enhance the 760GT interior volume, creating bright living spaces inspired by the golden age of ocean travel.

Interior design has been entrusted to Luca Dini Design & Architecture, which has selected warm, tactile materials including natural wengé wood. The full-beam owner’s apartment features rare Calcite Blue stone in the en suite, along with a private study and veranda. Accommodation includes four guest cabins on the lower deck and a versatile fifth cabin on the bridge deck, offering flexibility for guests or additional staff.

Outdoor living is equally generous. The sundeck hosts a large whirlpool, bar and multiple lounge areas, while the skylounge connects to an aft terrace. A well-appointed beach club and expansive swim platform provide direct access to the water.

Powered by twin Rolls-Royce MTU 8V engines, Project Frida reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots and offers a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Compliance with Large Yacht Code 3 and IMO Tier III emissions regulations is ensured through a Selective Catalytic Reduction system.

With delivery approaching, Project Frida represents a compelling blend of proven engineering, classic elegance and immediate availability in the competitive 55-metre steel segment.
