Benetti has revealed full details of B.Neos, a new 40-metre hybrid superyacht developed as a standalone platform rather than an evolution of an existing model. First previewed at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025, B.Neos targets owners seeking quieter operation, reduced environmental impact and a more relaxed onboard lifestyle—without moving into the complexity of larger custom yachts.
Designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, the exterior draws heavily on sailing yacht proportions, resulting in a long, low silhouette that sits close to the water. This profile is enabled by the hybrid propulsion system being engineered into the platform from the outset, allowing for a compact engine room, cleaner deck lines and improved efficiency.
Interiors by FM Architettura move away from formal, symmetrical layouts in favour of tactile, lived-in spaces intended for long-term private use. Within the yacht’s 296 GT volume, circulation is simplified and transitions between interior and exterior areas are softened to create a residential atmosphere.
Hybrid propulsion is central to the design. Twin MAN V8-800 engines are paired with an electric architecture offering multiple operating modes, including Zero-Emission and Hotel Mode for silent operation, as well as Diesel-Electric and Boost modes for efficient cruising and manoeuvring. Benetti reports energy savings of up to 30 per cent compared to conventional yachts of similar size.
The main deck introduces a new social layout, with a waterside pool flowing into a 2.4-metre-high glass Sea Atrium, while a forward Family Kitchen replaces the traditional formal dining room. The wheelhouse is relocated forward on the main deck, freeing the entire upper deck for a private owner’s apartment with 270-degree views.
Supported by integrated automation, remote monitoring and Benetti’s Yacht as a Service programme, B.Neos establishes a new reference point for quiet, owner-focused hybrid yachts in the 40-metre segment.
