Finnish sailing yacht builder Nautor Swan will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026 with a year-long programme of events, regattas and new yacht launches, highlighting both the brand’s heritage and its future ambitions. Founded in 1966 by Pekka Koskenkylä in Pietarsaari, Finland, the iconic sailing yacht builder is now part of the Sanlorenzo Group, which acquired the brand in 2024.
The anniversary celebrations will begin with a special Swan Soirée during boot Düsseldorf, before continuing with regattas and community events around the world. A major highlight of the year will be the prestigious Rolex Swan Cup, scheduled to take place from 14 to 19 September in the sailing grounds of Porto Cervo, Sardinia. Organised in collaboration with the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and ClubSwan Racing, the biennial regatta has been a cornerstone of the international sailing calendar for more than four decades.
The 2026 edition is expected to attract a record fleet of Swan yachts and owners from around the world. Among the highlights will be the presence of the historic Swan 36 Tarantella, the yard’s very first model, which helped define the brand’s philosophy of combining racing performance with cruising capability.
Alongside the celebrations, Nautor Swan will introduce several important new models. The upcoming Swan 80 will debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival as the entry point to the Swan Maxi range, while the Swan 73 will mark the brand’s return to the competitive 70-foot segment. The builder is also developing a new bluewater cruising yacht line and advancing the Swan Alloy 44 project, its first aluminium supermaxi.
According to Massimo Perotti, chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo, the anniversary represents more than a celebration of the past. Instead, it signals Swan’s continued evolution as the brand blends its long-standing sailing heritage with innovation, new yacht concepts and an expanding global community of owners and sailors.
