The two-day forum will take place on 7–8 May 2026 at La Suite Kobe Oceans Garden in Kobe, Japan, bringing together shipyards, brokers, marina developers, policymakers and financial professionals to discuss the future of superyacht ownership and cruising across Asia-Pacific.
Now in its third edition and organised by SuperYacht Times, the summit has established itself as a key industry platform dedicated to positioning Asia-Pacific as both a leading cruising destination and a maturing superyacht market. Following previous editions in Hong Kong, 2026 marks the event’s debut in Japan—highlighting the country’s growing prominence within the sector.
The programme will address critical regional topics, including Japan’s development as a superyacht destination, new marina projects in Japan and the Maldives, cross-border regulatory frameworks, family offices and yachting, Vietnam’s government engagement with the sector, and the expanding refit market in Asia.
Nick Stratton, Chief Sales Officer of Sanlorenzo APAC, will join the panel discussion titled “Why International Shipyards Are Investing in the Asia-Pacific,” examining the strategic drivers behind global shipyard expansion into the region and assessing its long-term commercial potential.
Kobe’s selection as host city reflects its strategic location on Osaka Bay, with access to the Seto Inland Sea and proximity to major metropolitan centres such as Osaka and Kyoto. Ongoing initiatives, including the development of Superyacht Base Kobe, are further strengthening the city’s infrastructure for visiting large yachts.
Sanlorenzo’s presence at the summit follows its debut participation at the Japan International Boat Show in Yokohama earlier this year, forming part of a broader expansion strategy across North and Southeast Asia.
