Nautor Swan Unveils Swan Alloy 44 at Monaco Yacht Show

Finnish sailing yacht builder Nautor Swan has unveiled the first renderings of its new Swan Alloy 44 during the Monaco Yacht Show, marking the brand’s entry into the aluminium supermaxi sailing yacht segment.

The 44-metre yacht is designed by renowned naval architect Malcolm McKeon and represents Swan’s first model built in aluminium. The material allows for greater structural stiffness, improved weight efficiency and a higher level of customisation compared with traditional composite builds, while maintaining the brand’s distinctive design identity.

The Swan Alloy 44 has been developed with input from the shipyard’s New Product Development and Technical Office teams. The first hull is expected to launch in 2026 from Swan’s new production facility in Viareggio, Italy. Hull construction will be carried out by Dutch specialist Gouwerok Shipyard, combining its aluminium expertise with Swan’s design and finishing capabilities.

Sales for the project are being managed by global brokerage firm Edmiston, with broker Bruce Brakenhoff leading commercial activity from the company’s Newport office.

The announcement forms part of Swan’s broader development strategy following its acquisition by Sanlorenzo. Alongside the Alloy 44 reveal, the yard also introduced the Swan 128 sailing yacht designed by German Frers and hinted at future aluminium models exceeding 50 metres.
