Founded in 1965, the American Chaparral Yachts (Chaparral) brand has been focused on life from the beginning, dedicated to developing and building high quality family boats.In 1976, the brand moved from Florida to Georgia, with a one million square metre factory, and became one of the largest employers in South Georgia, with more than 800 full-time jobs available locally.
To ensure exquisite quality, Chaparral Yachts (Chaparral) still uses handcrafted techniques in its craftsmanship. Many of its boat builders are second or third generation boat builders. Each craftsman takes pride in his or her work and product.
As the largest yacht builder in the United States, the Chaparral brand designs and builds luxury recreational sport yachts, speedboats, and fishing boats from 18 to 34 feet, and has received the NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association) award for Most Outstanding Customer Service Provider four years in a row. For six consecutive years, Chaparral Yachts has received the NMMA's Most Outstanding Customer Service Provider Award, as well as forty-five Best of Show awards for product excellence, unique design concepts, and attention to detail in quality craftsmanship.
