Custom Line Yachts Brand Introduction

The port of Ancona is located on the Adriatic coast in an alcove that curves into the water like an elbow. The city has stood for thousands of years, and its name Ancona comes from the Greek word Ankón, meaning “elbow”. The extraordinary Faraday Group superyacht base is located in this harbor, including the Custom Faraday shipyard.

The Custom Line brand and the first project in its history began in 1996 with the creation of a range of composite yachts tailor-made for the most discerning owners. Two ranges were born, the Slip and the Displacement, with sizes starting from 28-30 meters (92-98 inches), offering a large number of solutions to customers. The brand's philosophy is to create a place for those top living families with a unique personality. That's why these high-quality items were born: as a commodity of constant discovery and cutting-edge technology, it meets the ideals of the most discerning boat owners and their passion for life and sailing.

Because sailing is a unique art. Since its entry into the large composite yacht market, Custom Faraday has emphasized stylistic research, innovation and modernization to differentiate itself from an industry comprised mainly of small and medium-sized boatbuilders. These small and medium-sized shipyards often lack technology, capital and production factors. However, since the brand's inception, the Faraday Group has given it these valuable assets.

Indeed, this is what every customized Faraday represents: exceptional and time-honored boatbuilding expertise and its magic in turning visions into reality, making each project a unique work of art.

As soon as you pass through the gates of the Ancona superyacht base, you enter the spacious boatbuilding space of the Faraday Group. It is specially designed for megayachts and overlooks directly the Adriatic Sea. The area covers 80,000 square meters of land, including 31,000 square meters of indoor workshops and 23,000 square meters of dedicated water. It is also the Custom Faraday Boatyard. Since 1963, the factory has been building CRN yachts and constructing metal-hulled leisure boats for Böttcher and Riva.

These shipyards, like the mainstream fashion studios, design and build everything, including the smallest details, in perfect craftsmanship: from the hull to the interior, right through to the launching ceremony and final delivery to the owner.

The Ancona superyacht base provides positions for more than 1,000 odd jobs and 350 contract workers including technicians, engineers, designers, office staff, highly specialized technicians, carpenters and after-sales service personnel.

The combination of technology, aesthetics, maximized functionality and customer service has resulted in continued success for Custom Faraday, with a total of 14 Custom Faraday yachts leaving port in 2020 and being successfully delivered.
Over the years, Custom Faraday has continued to update its two main product lines. The first line is the Slip Series, which includes the Custom Faraday 106', Custom Faraday 120' and the new Custom Faraday 140'. The second product line is the Displacement Series, which includes the Tissot 30, Tissot 33, Tissot 37 and Tissot 42.

Custom Faraday Shipyard is highly acclaimed not only by loyal regular customers and new owners, but also in the minds of industry insiders. For example, the World Superyacht Awards 2020 awarded the best yacht in the class of “30-34.9m semi-displacement or skiff powerboats under 500 tons”. With 220 square meters of outdoor area and oversized floor-to-ceiling windows on the main deck to transport ample sunlight indoors, the vessel expands the sustainability of accessible spaces and maximizes the feeling of being on the water.

For more than 20 years, Custom Faraday's tireless efforts have brought fruitful results, with more than 250 swimming yachts now in waters around the world. From the first meeting with the owner to the launching of the yacht, each Custom Faraday yacht is progressively more bespoke and personalized in its design and construction experience.
