Windy Yachts Brand Introduction

Windy Yachts was founded in 1966 by Hugo Vold, whose father was a fisherman. He and his family experienced many anxious moments during the stormy season in the Skagerrk Strait. Hugo Vold, with his strong respect for the sea and the natural weather, became a ship builder and wanted to make boats that would be welcomed by the world for their seaworthiness and quality, in honour of his father's trusted fisherman. He named his boat ‘Windy’ in honour of his father's trusty fishing boat.

To date, the Windy brand has more than 160 employees, produces a wide range of yachts from 25 to 58 feet, and has established an excellent network of dealers in Europe. Each of the brand's yachts is meticulously crafted by experienced technicians. Exquisite carpentry and unique fabrics are important elements of the uniqueness of Venti Yachts, as is the contemporary production process with the use of various construction materials, facilities and promotion systems.

Passed down through centuries of experience, Norwegian and Swedish boatbuilders are proud of their skills influenced by their predecessors and craftsmen. We can savour it in every finished yacht.

In the development of boatbuilding work, the Windy Yachts brand's boat designers are also aided by a number of modern, cutting-edge IT tools. Simulation software allows designers to better enhance the element of personalisation and to be able to focus on the design of a new yacht; 3D images more effectively simplify the choices that Windy Yachts may face during the production process.
